After going through three Fitbits that have died on me after a year, I decided to try another brand of smart watch. While I would love an Apple Watch, the need to charge every day is not ideal. I don’t want to have to add charging my watch each day to the many other things I have to remember to do. So, I decided to try this Amazfit GTS 2 Mini. It is among the thinnest and lightest of smart watches, and I didn’t want anything bulky on my arm.I’m really happy with it so far! It has taken about four days to really play with it and understand all that it can do. For instance, today, i just discovered that I can create customized watch faces. I thought I was stuck with the pre-made ones in their watch store. This really makes me feel like I can make the watch very personalized to me.I really like the long battery life. I also like how immediately and quickly it syncs. It used to take my old fitbits FOREVER to sync. I love that I can customize the shortcuts to only see the features I want in the order I want. I love that I could customize the app to hide the features I won’t use and put the features I will use in the order in which I want to see them. I really like the countdown app, the cycle tracker, the meditation breathing, the sleep tracking, the heart rate monitor, step tracker, the weather (although it could be more self-explanatory), the ability to control sound and move forward/backwards when playing music, podcasts, or other audio from my iphone. My favorite feature is that I can have a plain digital clock display with the date, day, and steps when the screen is off. That was the feature that sold me on the watch! The screen is also beautiful. The band is quite plain-looking relative to the beauty of the watch, but I’m just ordering a nicer band to put on it.I got all of these many new features in a device that still cost much less than what I was paying for those Fitbits!!I’m giving it four stars only because I had a few glitches that I hope won’t become long-term issues. One issue was that some of the notifications weren’t coming through. However, after restarting and changing a setting on my phone, it has been back to working fine. The other issue was that after a day or two the digital clock was not displaying when the screen was off. I’m not sure if that was a watch system issue or if I have a setting somewhere that was not configured properly. It does have Alexa (to provide text-based responses), but I disabled it. It only seemed to work when you have the Zepp app open on the phone. Doing that would get so cumbersome that it would defeat the purpose of having it readily available on the watch.Overall, I am very happy with this watch!UPDATE: I’m actually bumping to five stars. I am so much happier with this watch than my old Fitbits. The screen is gorgeous. I realized that I wasn’t getting the digital screen-off clock because the watch turns it off when it thinks I’m sleeping. After I wake and get moving, it starts displaying again. Neat! The displays of notifications are still unclear to me, and it can’t get the weather for the exact place where I live (only for the next county over). Still, I’m really happy with this watch given its price and the other options out there on the market. I notice that I’m using the meditation/breathing bubble app quite often!SECOND UPDATE: They need a better instruction manual for this watch. Just when I think I had discovered all that it can do, I come across other features that I didn’t know about. I didn’t realize that all of the watch faces can come with their own screen off watch faces. Also, the watch faces you customize have their own bare bones screen off watch face (so that you can get the color of text you want for the screen off face). Being able to customize the screen off watch face has been awesome! I also had not understood the “lit when wrist lift” setting. I now have that off, which is what I prefer. Realizing these functions saves battery life and helps me customize the watch even more to my style and liking. As for battery life, in the first week, I got a little over four days of battery life on a full charge. However, I was playing with it a lot and I had not realized how to use the “lit when lift wrist” function. Now that I turned off the “lit when lift wrist function,” I’m getting longer battery life. Even happier with my watch!
Had a Garmin Vivoactive for 18 months, then a software upgrade from Garmin corrupted the cpu in the watch. Replacement fom Garmin took 8 weeks. Poor customer service, especially since they knew they had an issue.Decided to try this Amazfit watch. The price was good, more features than Garmin & touted better battery life. Had to charge Garmin every 3 days. So far I get 7 days before need to recharge. So far really happy. Works well, app is more informative than Garmin, teaching me how I can adjust some activities to better suit me. I highly recommend this samrt watch.UPDATE!! Buyers beware!! THe watch began to have problems within 3 months of receipt. I went to charge the watch as usual, however the screen would not turn on so I pressed the button on side & nothing happened. Went to Amazfit site, called Customewr service, left message. No call back. Sent email, got robot return email. 2 days later I call again, put on hold for 20 minutes than a rep comes on. I describe issue, I hear typing, then he tells me have to uninstall Zepp app, then hold down watch button between 30 & 60 seconds. When Screen appears, then reload Zepp app, Reset watch to original settings. Of course I lost all historical data. Device worked fine for 2 more charges, then the same thing happens. I now know the drill, do exactly the same, reset the device & all data lost again. I send another email asking if there were any known ‘bugs’ on software. Response I got back was to ‘send a screen shot’. OF A BLANK SCREEN? What good would that do? I replied to email with similar response, then can another robot email with jibberish to reset watch. Finally, I called Amazon Support & got Mike. WOW, was he helpful. He pulled up info on the device, read the exact same instructions as I got from Amazfit. When I told hime I already did that, he apologized (it was real) then said he wanted to some research & call me back on Monday. Boy was he prompt, first thing Monday fro Uraguay there was Mike. His research found that MANY other buyers of the device had the same issue, going back at least 6 months. I asked how many & he said he couldn’t tell me but said I was not alone & the seller of the device knew. Thanked him & proceeded to contact, via email Amazfit, requesting an exchange since device was still within 1 year warranty. I took 3 days for a response to come along with a USPS label atteched to use to return device to their California office.. So the next day I went to the PO, bought a cushioned envelope & sent it off. Now 5 days have passed, they acknowledged that they knew package was sent, YET 5 days later no replacement. I only live about 15 miles from their California facility so distance across the ocean is not a factor.BUYERS BEWARE. When the device warks it is really decent & does what it is suppossed to do. If it’s a softe=ware bug they need to fix that. If it’s a hardware issue they need to replace or repair all the GTS2 minis’. Not an easy decison to make. Software is cheaper tp fix. Hardware flaws can put a big dent inthe business.
After my third fitbit died, I wanted find a more affordable option. One smartwatch I found was OK, but it’s companion app drained my phone’s battery mercilessly, no matter what I tried to reduce the apps functionality. So I decided to give the Amazefit GTS2 a try, but I learned that only the GTS2 Mini was available on short notice. So far I have used the watch now for three days and I am pleasantly surprised. The features of the watch are slightly more advanced than the Fitbit Versa 3, but the cost of the watch is 70% less. The associated Android app is fully featured and is behaving well on my phone. The watch has a build-in GPS, so I can leave my phone at home on my walks, yet still register my route. The analysis of my exercises is great. I see many details I never have seen before with my Fitbits. The GTS2 Mini also has room to load my music, though I still have to figure out how to do that. (it is not a priority to me.)The setup was a breeze. Just be sure to load the app first before linking the watch to the phone. Let the app reach out to the phone. The screen is very bright and easily readable in full sunshine. The colors are very intense. The watches battery life seems good. Over 3 days I just used 30% of it’s battery capacity based on the watch’s reporting. Aside from the build-in GPS I was surprised to find that it also has a barometer and fairly accurately reports my altitude as well as altitude gains/decreases during my walks.According to the documentation the watch is waterproof up to 5 meters, so a thoughtless jump into the pool does not kill the watch. In short, I am so far very happy with this watch and it phone app.
The watch is very nice, I really like its style. I bought him a metal strap. To make it look much more elegant and it is. I bought it to use it instead of my Xiaomi smartband with more elegant clothes. And the truth is I quite like it. The only problem I have with the watch is that like me it used the music app a lot. when I want to change the music on my cell phone or increase the volume. The application takes a while to load and when I enter, it tries to use a track that the watch itself has internally because you can save music to the watch and listen to it through its small speaker. But it’s not what I normally use, I use my cell phone and it’s annoying to have to change that all the time. In addition, it is quite slow to enter that music option and make music changes, it is quite slow and it is not pleasant to use for that purpose. My Xiaomi Mi Band 4 does it much better. But for the rest I think it is worth it. Plus the battery lasts a long time. not like apple watches. or samsung watch.
I’ve had this watch for 2.5yrs now and it’s still going strong!! Best I’ve used and better than other fancy watches that are 10X+ more expensive! Battery lasts days and recharges fast! You can get alerts for calls and messages (I have it linked to direct calls and texts and WhatsApp), answer or reject calls using the phone, gives current weather when linked to your phone, tracks your cycles etc. Great and accurate at tracking heart rate, blood pressure, sleeping patterns and have good workout tracking options. And my favorite feature that really makes this watch shine is that it’s waterproof! I wear it 24/7, in the shower/bath etc and wait for it for swimming on a regular basis. It tracks laps I swim and after 2.5 years it’s not showing any issues with water getting in! How amazing is that! Not even Apple Watches do that, in fact my iPhone 12 died after a few months of purchase after wearing it around a water park with less than 5 mins of min shallow water submersion! Handles rough wear and tear well too! Looks great, fit and feel is great, works amazing, most durable tech gadget I’ve ever owned, highly highly recommend!!! It really is the full package! Oh and affordable too!!!
I wanted a watch so I could track my surfing activities on Strava because I can’t take my mobile phone in the water with me. This watch does it. It’s waterproof and has GPS with activity tracking and once you link it to your phone and Strava, all you have to do is open the compatible Zepp app and it syncs the activity data to Strava. There’s no surfing activity category on the watch so I use the Open Water Swimming activity and change the activity to Surfing once it’s in Strava. The only useful data it collects for surfing seems to be the time spent surfing and a track of where you were in the water.I chose this Amazfit GTS 2 watch because it also has the ability to answer phone calls when it has a bluetooth connection to a mobile phone. (So, no, I can’t take calls while surfing because my phone is in my car!). The microphone is so good that people who call me say it sounds as good, or better, than my mobile phone. Note that while you can answer a call with this watch, YOU CANNOT INITIATE A CALL with the watch. You CAN initiate calls with the Amazfit Verge watch but I chose the GTS 2 over the verge because the GTS 2 has a lower profile and it’s not important to me to initiate calls from the watch. I mainly want to be able to answer calls quickly, say when I’m on my bike and there’s not time to dig my phone out of my jersey. That’s not an issue when I’m initiating a call. Generally, for longer calls, you’ll want to switch the call to your phone speaker so you don’t have to hold your arm up and try to listen to the watch’s small speaker. Also note that while you would think the Amazfit GTS 3 has all the features of the GTS 2 and then some, the GTS 3 apparently does not have the ability to answer calls. This watch has an incredibly bright colorful and sharp display. Get the RinoGear Xiaomi Huami Amazfit Bip Screen Protector to protect your display. It’s easy to install and invisible once it’s on.The price comparison browser add-ons like Honey might show you a cheaper price but be careful not to buy the GTS Mini if you really want the GTS.Battery life is shorter for me than mentioned in other review but that’s probably because I use GPS every day to track activities. Still, I only have to charge it every other day and it DOES charge quickly.I’ve had the watch for 5 days and so far, I’m lovin’ it!
So far I am very happy with this watch, the value and price makes it perfect. I’m not an athlete…. just trying to keep an eye on my health and activities lately. This checked off all the boxes that I was looking for mainly so I can answer calls while I’m jogging or bike riding without having to pull my phone out of my pocket. Of course There are tons of SmartWatches out there almost all identical since I’m on a modest budget and this really fits the bill. It’s lightweight I like the size, and there’s a ton of aftermarket watch bands bumpers and covers that will fit on it. I’ve used it for over a month now and don’t really use all of the functions that it has but they’re there if I need them. the voice activation works well, and so does the GPS. Sometimes it drops off however when it reconnects and I checked the app it seems like all the tracking syncs and seems to be pretty accurate.I read some of the reviews that people left in my opinion there people that are buying this watch expecting it to be perfect but let’s be honest nothing’s perfect so if it gets you close to where you want to be than this is the one, Without having to spend hundreds of dollars. CONS:The only con that I can come up with after using this for over a month is that the battery life is really nowhere close to what they have it listed as. There’s no way that this thing will last for 7 days on one charge. The only way it’ll last 7 Days on one charge is if it just sits on a counter and isn’t attached to your body. that being said I’ve run it with a lot of the apps functions open change the watch face to a digital look with lots of colors and lots of information ,used it while I was sleeping and all sorts of other stuff when you do that the battery has about a day and a half. When I changed the watch face back to the original display cut out the constant O2 monitoring and the Sleep portion of it I was able to get about 2 days per charge. In reality it’s no big deal at the end of the night you throw it on the charger a couple hours later it’s done.I definitely would recommend this watch for the price you really can’t beat it because of the ability to answer phone calls. Update 12/6/21Have had this watch 10 months now and have to say I’m still very happy with it. There has been a update and now the battery seems to be lasting alot longer I’m now getting close to 4 days on a single charge and that’s with most of the features turned on. The reason for the update is about the durability. I was working on my truck and took my watch off while I was underneath it and placed it on the concrete driveway.when I was done I forgot to pick it up and and backed up over it. Only got a slight scratch on the back side and that was it. Got lucky but it still works great!!!
Es un gran smartwatch, es fiable, la duración de la batería es de 14 días, es cómodo y elegante.
Okay. I’ve had it for 24 hours and I have to say I am very impressed!! First I’ll state that although the app seems a good fit and pretty functional I did ding it because of one fundamental issue. That is that when registering I kept getting the following error “password must contain letters and numbers”. Okay, translation is that it must ONLY contain letters and numbers. Not a huge deal but at first I was very frustrated because here I’m thinking “I have this really nice looking watch and I can’t use it”. Anyway I figured out what they meant. I had a special character in my password. Took that out. Everything hummed along!Move forward a few hours. I wore it to bed, quite comfortable and I never wear a watch to bed but wanted to try the sleep tracking. Seemed to work well for me and seemed on par with what I know my sleep habits are.Fast forward again to this morning. Got into my office and got almost simultaneous compliments on my new IWatch! Funny I thought it’s a couple hundred less. I did divulge my secret and they were suitably impressed. Note I work with a bunch of aerospace engineers and we are all tech geeks. So I was pretty impressed that they were fooled.I charged it up at the office and I would say it took about an hour to go from 43% to 100. Right now, after about 13 hours it’s down to 95%. Better and better! I know I’ll never get two weeks but if it can go just a 4 day work week I’m happy. I rarely wear a watch at weekends.Overall I’m extremely impressed! It’s lightweight, very functional, very nice looking and seems like it will wear well.Day 8. Contrary to what I said above, I have not taken the watch off in these 8 days. Two reasons, I wanted to give it a full test and it’s so comfortable that I don’t feel the need to offload it as soon as I walk in the door. I still had 33% battery when I recharged so I estimate for my usage it will easily get 10 days on a full charge. Pretty impressive! I do notice that sometimes the sleep function is a little off but hey, I’m using it as a guide, not an absolute. And again for this price point I have zero complaints! I definitely recommend this watch! PS. Still getting compliments on my “IWatch”!One last update. About day 15. Still very much impressed! I’m about at the end of my second full charge and I’ve got 40% battery!IMHO. Buy this! I’ve never owned an IWatch but I have to think this guy is doing just as good of a job for a whole lot less!
excelente producto y buen vendedor
